Our Beginnings
Sometimes a drive down a different road can change your life. For our family, our road ended up being the historic Sweetwater Springs Road in the renowned Russian River Valley. After a tasting visit to the acclaimed Roccioli Winery, who we now call our neighbor, we drove down a slightly washed out dirt road with our six-week old son in tow. Jim fell immediately for the land and it's potential but was surprised when Christina stepped out of the car and said, We have to do what it takes to make it happen! This land truly called us home and inspired us to follow our passion of making outstanding wines. Over the years, there have been times when we have thought that maybe the combination of being sleep deprived from having a young infant and tasting great Pinot might have led us astray. Following your dream does require hard work and making difficult choices but we wouldn't change our decision for anything. Seeing our son, Luke, roam the vineyards and discover nature is reward enough. Our journey has been exciting, challenging, enlightening and humbling. We are grateful to our family, friends and business partners for encouraging us to stay the course with our dream of expressing what this incredible vineyard has to offer. Family, friends and great wine, does it get any better?
